Hey folks, just thought I'd share a little tip ive discovered - everyone knows about google streetview but have you all checked out bing maps's birdseye view? it's an isometric 3d view so you can actually spin around the property to get a good look at it. Obviously check with the customer that they havent had a massive conservatory built since the pics were taken but its pretty useful..

They dont have it in all areas but if they do in yours its very handy!!

    Thanks for sharing kips

Might try using it now and again as overhead pic are a bit better. But after taking a quick look think I will be sticking to using google myself as in my area it doesn't work on street veiw so can't see the address/house number I'm looking for. :Image3:

I usually use streetview to wprk out which house it is and get a good look at the front then try and spot it from the air with bing to get a look at the back and sides :)

lol I just went on to check my house which was built 12 years ago, it's not there. I had wondered what it looked like round here before it was built and I know now.

    Wierd that was.

    Thats not all dodger....

I put in a postcode to bing but come up in completely wrong street/area. Thought I had made a mistake so even checked the postcode 3 times. The same postcode entered in google showed the correct street/area I wanted. Go figure :Image16:

Gotta say though I put my mums old address in and even though the birdseye thing didn't work there the detail was spot on and I could see the BBQ I built for her (OK me) really clearly.

I prefer to call and see the job and customer before giving any prices...
