Just wondering if any of you have an overflow safety system on your van tank. Unfortunately my solenoid float failed a couple of months back causing me to flood the van. Was thinking of putting something in just in case for the future.

My float never worked from the start and I was lucky with hot water. The pure all went down the side of the Webasto exhaust pipe which isn't sealed. A 22mm hole in the floor would save you in the future, just remember to paint the edge with hammarite after its done.

This is true @Pjj but it would need to be right at the top. One of the problems is that it would need to cope with the amount of pure the r/o outputs and there is always the chance he will loose some water when driving with a full tank sloshing about.
Of course he could always put a stop valve on the outlet but he would have to religiously open the tap when processing water. Some ones law states that the night he forgets to open the valve is the night the float switch fails. ?

Use a hole saw to drill a hole in your tank lid and insert a half inch float valve (you can purchase these off eBay - see photo). Use hozelock fittings to attach the float valve to the incoming water supply (from the DI). I've used this for several years now. Works well for me...
