Just bought a pentair RO in November with new filters. Already it's stopped working . No product and slight trickle for waste. Water is "10degrees Clarke" Pressure 40-60 psi when a little water does come through the TdS is fine. Any suggestions?

Hi Rick, I would look at increasing the pressure, when its cold the pressure drops, you could try a booster pump. It could be a blocked filter although its not very old you could have a load of **** in your pipes that have blocked it so its reducing the volume of water the system wants.

These  r/o's completely switch off when the pure is not free flowing.

They were designed for use in American kitchens as a third tap. Open the tap and pure water comes out when the r/o starts to work. Close the tap and the r/o will completely stop working.

My mate has an earlier Merlin unit and he has that coupled to a ball valve on his tank. When he takes water the system starts working, when the tank is full its shuts the r/o off - just like a toilet cistern.

So you need to ensure that there isn't a restriction on the pure line, say for example a di vessel or a stop Hozelok connector which isn't working properly.

Is there water to the inlet of the r/o - good pressure and flow?

Our village had 40psi water pressure for many years and that r/o worked at those pressures, even during the winter months.

Thanks. Yep we do have a stop valve but even when we've disconnected it there's still no flow and there are no kinks in the pipe. Thanks tho

You haven't got an automatic shut off valve on the system have you? If so it could be that it isn't switching on?

Drove it down to Grimsby and they plugged it into their tap. There was no problem with it. Brought it home and it has worked ever since. Bizarre!
