Bought an ettore handle, channel and rubber

trouble is the rubber keeps falling out when the sqeegee is turned sideways.

Do I

one - sqeeze the sides of the aluminium channel in to hold the rubber

two - buy something to hold the rubber in

help appreciated

cheers

Three; buy an Unger Ergotec handle and channel. Don't know about Ettore stuff, but the Unger has a spring action with teeth that grip the rubber blade.

Flog it on eBay.

Here's the link for Unger handle http://www.wintecs.co.uk/catalog/unger-ergotec-squeegee-handle-p-64.html?cPath=57_148

For a little over a tenner, you'll have quality gear that lasts. Also, if you buy the 12" channel, buy a stock of 36" rubbers, so you can cut them to size when needed. It's a cheaper way of doing it

ERM when I had an ettore it had two little clip things on each end that kept rubber In place. You could dog ear it which would help and also a handy thing to do anyway.

Nothing wrong with Ettore gear. I have more of their trad gear than any other make. As stated some of the Ettore handles grip the rubber, and others require clips. I find that one clip is sufficient to hold the rubber in place. Some of the unger squeegees also require clips.

yeh i remember them little clips from da olden times:)

oh and its quite funny when the rubber just falls out....sometimes i cant get the rubber in the channel....i think i must have about ten squeegees in my box....

as long as i get one to work okay i keep quiet....
