I'm on a very tight budget and can't afford a carbon fibre pole, so which would you recommend, aluminium or fibreglass? also what size would you suggest? thinking of getting at a 25ft. any advice would be great.

    Go for a hybrid pole.
Something like a gardiner clx 22 should do it.

If your after cheap and cheerful we do a fibreglass 27ft works out about 115 complete with brush, fibreglass isn't the best in all honesty bends alot and you don't have much control over the brush head when using, we do a hybrid which is well worth considering works out to 204 with the VAT

Water Genie Hybrid, Bubble & Squeegee (Yes that's his name) bought an 18 footer last Saturday and loves it.

Here is a 27ft New Water Genie Barracuda 27ft Hybrid Pole and if budget is a consideration these are about 10% cheaper than a CLX which is also a quality pole!

My advise if you can is save a bit more money and go for the FULL carbon Gardiner SLX 25. A little bit more money in the beginning but in the long run it is better value for money.

Speak to Tony who has proof, still going strong for many years

I don't have one but Bubble love his, I have the all carbon ones, both Vipers and SLX all great poles. The Water Genies are 10% cheaper on average and IMO every bit as good.
