Potential for use as a booster pump?

WCF

Help Support WCF:

it might not have the power to be kept on for 3-5 hours continuous running as you will need, compare the stats with the purefreedom Aquatic 8800 booster pump

You will be better going into your loal machine mart and explaining to a qualified assistant who has experience , letting them know exactly what you need a booster pump for, you will need it to be on for around 3-6 hours a time if its for your R.O setup,

YOU have not said how big your RO is, 300, 450gpd.,

If in doubt get one from a Pure water , Window cleaning outlet.

Pure freedom sell one for around £120. Aquatic 8800. I use this one, its for an in house R.O. ser up, i have a 300gpd R.O.. i HAVE mine on for around 3-5 hours. gets me around 240 litre of pure. I wish i could do better but it keeps my £££££££ down.

Let us know which RO you have

Where r u based

I had a 300gpd Pure Freedom RO unit for 7 years and for the last year and a half a FilterPlus 300gpd unit. My tap pressure is only about 40psi and both units ran very slowly on this. So three years ago I connected up an old 5.2lpm Sureflo to my outside tap. I use a 12v power supply and a cheap PWM controller that I got off eBay. I keep the flow low to prevent the pressure switch cutting in, and it's worked perfectly for three years. It often runs for eight hours plus when I'm busy.

@Adams0211 @johnny bravo Live in Norwich, looking at the Aqautec pump. How would I adapt the John Guest fittings to regular hosepipe fittings from the outside tap?

Also, if the water runs through the pump without it being on, is that a problem?

There's no problem with water running though when the pumps not on.

I've got a John guest fitting on my tap so no need to adapt the fittings on the pump.

Yep .so you boost the water going in to the ro

If you use the pump @Adams0211 has you will also need 2 x 3/8-1/4" reducers as the pump has 3/8 pushfit holes
