Only started wfp recently and with my first winter looming near il be paying close attention to this thread! Hoping i can drain my tank down each night and maybe wrap an old douvet round my pump/pipes to keep them safe. Will have to bilge pump my water into the van each morning instead of night before to stop it freezing so looking forward to lots of dark windy cold mornings sat in my van waiting for it to fill up!

Just add isopropyl alcohol. Surgical spirit.

very cheap to run heaters for the van! I have had them fitted in my van last winter nothing froze and didn't need to scrap the windscreen either as I set one up at the bottom of the windscreen over night!

    Cloths...

I got myself a thermal t shirt this year one that is arms length rather then like a thermal t shirt or vest...

    Long johns

    Seal Skin gloves.

I have steel toe capped shoes which can be worn in extreme cold and heat! So these keep feet warm and keep cool etc(if that makes sense)

    Body Warmer...

Woolly hat especially if you have short hair like myself.

Should be better this year, well, no more carrying cold freezing ladders and equipment(like squeegees)
And no more walking my rounds, as now wfp use my van to go from one street to another so put the heater on lol.

We will see how it goes as see how the water is aswell, so swings and round abouts(A lot of people on my converted rounds asking me how I will cope with using water(especially when your up close to a bulding doing upstairs and you get wet from drips etc lol)

Get an oil filled radiator for the back of your van not a fan heater.
The condensation that forms on your roof wont damage an oil radiator were as if it drips in a fan heater.....

No need for IPA or any chemical intervention in this country really. Add that on to the fact you'd need a 1:9 ratio IPA:Water to even make a slight difference -4°c freezing point, which makes it completely cost ineffective.
The best thing you can do is drain all your pipes of an evening, lag anything metallic and make sure your water is as pure as you can get it, the actual freezing point of DI water is -42°c.
