OK so how much should I be paying for Window cleaning Insurance as a sole trader who only uses an assistant very casually/occasionally so far? Mostly Domestic clients so far, but hoping to get larger Commercial clients.
-Is £1Mill Pub Liab. enough for now & upgrade once I get larger clients or what?
I'd love to know what ball-park figure everyone else is paying.
I do wfp with some gutter cleans on ladders by hand, not with pressurized equipment so far

Yer 1million is enough for all domestic customers, some commercial ones require more, I have 5million and that's only £125. A year

Get a quote from gleaming and ask for the contractors insurance that will cover you for loads of different cleaning tasks you intend to do. ;)

    Specialist Cleaning Insurance Cover

When you arrange your cleaners liability insurance with GLEAMING INSURANCE you will be getting a much more comprehensive policy than is available from online comparison sites and non specialist insurance brokers.
Our policies are specifically for cleaning contractors and include many covers that you may not realise are excluded under your current policy such as:
    • Damage to Property Being Worked Upon
    • Treatment Risks (for damage caused by cleaning solutions or chemicals)
    • Loss of Customer's Keys
    • Failure to Secure a Customer's Premises
    • Theft by your employees (against you or your customers)

There is a very good chance that you don't have any of these covers at the moment.
As we specialise in cleaning insurance and nothing else we have made sure that the policies we offer from Hiscox Insurance Company Ltd provide the right cover for you and your business.
Please feel free to read through the insurers policy wordings which explain the covers that we provide but most others exclude. You may not be aware that you don't have these covers already, but as mentioned previously, there is a very good chance you don't.
Our policies also offer the added benefits of:
    • Interest free instalments - split the cost without being charged extra
    • Continous policy cover - your insurance will never run out unless you cancel it
    • Documents delivered by email - so you will never need to photocopy your documents again

But when you change it to include gutter etc... It goes up to £30ish a month
