Rabbit chewed through hose!

Customers rabbit chewed a hole in my Gardiner microbore hose this afternoon! Anyone know the best way to repair it? Thanks!

JG fitting will, but if it has to go up the pole it can be a pain

Easier to replace it , put it on there bill ????

You can get hose joiners Gardiners sell them then use the metal c clips to hold it together , the ones In the picture will give you the neatest and smallest joint

If you have a hot water system, you could of sprayed that on it.

If it's only a pinhole then self-amalgamating tape from screwfix or toolstation will do for a quick fix and can last weeks or months

Seems like a lot of effort that, seems like something @spruce would do ? It would depend how much I was about to lose. If it was less than 20m I would just cut it and be done with it. Over that I would replace the hose. It's not all that often I get the entire 100m out anyway.

The tapes ok if you can get it perfectly straight or you will get drips. Best to use the connectors that pjj mentioned. Not the plastic ones though as they break easily, especially when being dragged round walls etc.

A decent silicon tape. Although not a permanent solution

You could dry a dab of this in hole. It's unlike other sealants check it out on You Tube where they demonstrate its effectiveness under water bonding bricks.

Thanks for the suggestion but I’ve ordered new hose today. Might be good for others though. Anyone interested in buying 80ish metres of Gardiner microbore hose?! The rest of the hose is fine so could be cut down.

The plastic ones will go through the rollers but the brass ones will puncture the hose , I use the plastic blue ones for my hoseless kit to join pole hose to microbore they do last very well considering they go through the rollers 50+ times a day I replace them roughly every couple of years

I was thinking more about the o rings. When I used them they got on my t*ts.

Ah ok I find the two ear clips ok but the single clip ones the bit you squeeze is much bigger and can be a right pain catching your hands getting caught on wall edges and in the rollers
