Replacing Blown d/g units

Just seen an ad for a company in Texas also offering a service to replace blown/fogged double glazed units. Anybody had any experience? Could it be a good service to offer? Thought/comments appreciated. Ta

That isnt a new idea vito, companies have been doing it for years. Cheaper than getting the whole window changed, plus, if there is nothing wrong with the frames, why change them?.

Yes, I do understand that. The point of the question was - is it a good service for us window cleaners to offer our customers? Is it easy to do? Anybody had any experience? etc

It isn't easy and you need specialist equipment and training, there is a firm near me that offers the service. I see lots of blown units, one was half full with water. People seem relicton to replace or repair

No, like nearlyclean says, not really something you could think about doing as well as window cleaning, at least, not without some major investment in training and equipment. Those DG units are very heavy and very fragile, so its not something you could 'just start doing'!. Maybe, if you had your own company, with other employees, it might be worth looking into the pros and cons, but for a one man band like me, no!.
