It's a wee bit more to buy new than a rug doctor and to be honest I expected it to go for a lot more. Also would out perform a rug doctor by miles.

Mind you a truck mount is the way to go if you happen to be loaded but that kit is good enough for smaller jobs including tile & grout cleaning.
