Interested to hear if many of you guys with Van systems are just using DI vessels rather than RO then through DI?

I get the whole resin preservation, but practically if blasting tap water through the DI does the job it just seems to make so much more sense.

TDS reading here 85, so feasible.

Thought / Advice?

for me i have a static RO system with a 1000lt tank at home, then fill the van up form that, with that i use about 25lts-30lts of resin a year!

I use DI only at 115ppm going to be doubling 2 11lt ones if I had a full round and used loads of water I would set a RO up but I don't need to yet

its amazing how diffrent ppm there is round the uk! mine is 435ppm before my ro then 12ppm before the resin!

278 ere. Used 1 4.5 litre di but just doubled up to two of them. As with paul don't use that much water as still trad with 2 backpacks.

Depends how much water you use as to what makes financial sense.

If you have a 300 litre tank for example it'll cost you a lot to fill it.

I'm debating about buying my water soon for 2p a litre.

I can make my own water, but it either takes time with RO and uses my tap water or I use DI and it's quick but it costs money.

Whereas it takes literally 3minutes to fill my tank with 350litres of water that will do me the week or more and will cost me £7.00

im on a water meter and it dont cost lot to make my water with an RO, it works out about £1.44 for 1000lts of pure water

I'm on a water meter also, bit I olny pay about £4 per week it is because I have more than 3 children

If you are classed as a large family you can get it capped to a fixed rate if your on a water meter, the mrs done it all lol
