Just setting up a Brodex e500 (second hand) when filling the system, once filled and I disconnect outside tap I’m getting water running out of this inlet (direct on to pre filter). Any reasons/way to resolve?

Whilst filling, my ‘waste’ tap doesn’t adjust correctly either, just bounces right up and settles at around 1.25lpm and doesn’t budge regardless whether I open or close the valve.

I don’t have van ports to fill externally.

I'm sure that you need a manifold that allows hoses to be connected from the outside. If the system is second hand then they would have left the manifold in the vehicle. They usually cut a box section out of the van's side panel to fit the manifold. I think these manifolds had female stop connectors fitted.

Just do a google search for Brodex manifold. They want around £200 +vat and delivery for one. I'm sure you can get one with the female stop much cheaper elsewhere.

Purefreedom have a quad van port for £26 + vat and delivery.

Actually Window Cleaning Warehouse have a much better 4 quad under bumper van port.
