Scissor lift for a office block

    I haven't got a licence to use this can I hire a bloke with a lift and am I allowed to go up and clean windows or do I still need a licence ?

    Hi Neil,

    I'm new to the forum and haven't introduced myself yet but saw your post and I do have some experience with scissor lifts, I would think most scissor lift/cherry picker hire centres will be able to sort you out with a driver if you don't have an ipaf licence, although smaller hire centres might not.Also you won't need a licence yourself to go up as long as the driver has one.

    Dam I lost the contract to another windy round my way because I said I haven't got a licence to go up the lift ! Well at least they asked me first lol

    Not to worry as you would have probably needed to borrow a pair of my man pants anyway
