how do YOU remove hard water stains?

I used unger rub out on a small window that an overflow had stained worked but took quite a while and elbow grease.

 
Viakal.. if not shifting then kilrock from the range if that still don't shift it then time for the big guns and use winsol

 
I swapped some blown double glazed units for a customer a few years back and he called me back because there were nasty runs from off the leading when it had rained. I cleaned it with tomato ketchup! Seriously put a drop on a dirty penny and leave it for 1 minute then wash/wipe off and see the diference

 
I removed hard water stains by polishing them out with very fine steel wool, it took a little while but what a difference it made. I was pleased with the result even though the customer probably never noticed them being there
