Hanging Christmas lights on gutters and elsewhere on the house fronts

Hi everyone

Did you ever try to offer Christmas light installation during November and December?

With the LED lighting technology, you no longer necessarily need any outdoor power sockets, so the job can be done quite easy.

If you did it (or do it every year), how did you go about the advertisement/promotion, procurement arrangements with your customers, and installation work as such? And was this seasonal add-on worthwhile? Did it contribute well to your bottom line?

Don't think many advertise it mate, but if people ask, then go for it, don't charge too little though, as sometimes it takes longer than expected!

Do you normally get a deposit and buy the decoration on your own, or do you hang the stuff your custies already have?

Hang the stuff they already have, only ever do about 3, bit perhaps if you somehow pushed it, putting leaflets through all your customers doors in November, you may get a lot...

Yeah. American window cleaning coaches and similar folks on the Net regard it as a promising seasonal side for a windie. But in the UK the topic gets mentioned, let alone discussed, much more rarely...
