I had my slx delivered a couple of days ago and not used it yet. Plus there is no rush to use it as I am only cleaning my own house. I can see it coming dad can you clean my house!! Gramps can you clean my house Anyway a few things I am learning as I go along which is all good. For a start the default yellow hose comes with gardiners red 8mm -5mm GJ type fitting which their 6mm OD hose only fits into. I tried a GJ and it is too loose also if you change brushes rather than trying to pull hose out of jest far better to buy a 2 way push fit connector as cheap as chips.

Part Times suggested a univalve is a bit over the top for just my house and he is correct hence why I decided not to purchase one. Even so I am still curious, I got the standard Quick- LoQ angle adapter which for me is fine. However when I was looking at vids to see how to fit a univalve it had to pole hose coming through the gooseneck with a O ring to stop hose pulling off of the brush.

As you all know the default gooseneck that comes with the pole is different as it has a small bit of hose ah the top and a plastic with a solid bit of plastic at the bottom.

My 1st reaction how does this work with a univalve so I put a JG onto the black plastic bit and you could not pull it off so I presume this is how you do it. I then out of curiosity looked at all the gardiners angle adapter and the carbon fibre seem to be specialist adapters. On the plastic adapters only one does not have the black plastic bit at bottom. This one has a twist action to stop water flow which does not make sense to buy if you are going to fit a univalve. So the question is what angle adapter that has hose pass through fits the slx as I have not seen one vid where univalve is connected to the plastic bit at bottom of angle adapter. ?? They say curiosity killed the cat and I am always curious how things work. If something breaks down I will strip it not to repair but just nosey.
