The first filter on my Ro...the one with the sediment in..is turning green is this normal?

The water is still coming out at 2/3 from a TDS of around 105 so it seems to be working fine.

The sediment on my friends huge RO system turned black, he just rinsed it to make it clear again.

From what I understand they do have a somewhat limited lifespan, so a change every now and then is probably a good idea.

Is it kept in sunlight?

Green would mean algae which is not good

They are cheap as chips so i would replace it

If the water is still 2/3 then nothing to worry about really, simply rinse them every now and then ,I get it on my clear resin cases very month
