Hi guys, I’ve posted a couple of messages on here around a few different things and everyone has been really helpful.

I need to ask a more sensitive question and would really appreciate help with what some of you guys charge in the Birmingham, Solihull, Redditch area as I am struggling massively to get prices off phoning people and just wondered if anyone locally can share? I know it’s cheeky but all I have at the mo is a list from the bwa.

thanks for your guys help as always.

Google is your friend. Try a search like 'Solihull window cleaner +prices' then look at the website results and you should find some have prices - some just offer quotes but some list prices. That should give you an idea in each area. Remember that just because you are starting out you shouldn't necessarily be cheaper. Value your time and the quality you want to achieve.

One bit of advice mate definitely do not start out with lower prices. You'll kick yourself down the line when your working hard knowing you could be earning more. There is absolutely no reason to charge lower prices when you are starting out as long as you are confident you are providing a quality service.

I started out with lower prices and then it hit me like a ton of bricks, so I put them way up and was too dear but now I have it sussed. I generally charge a £1 a window and door as a pointer. Picked up one because guy was not reliable and then picked up another but it was a difficult clean with Juliet balcony and grass slope. I charge £16 same as the other ones next to it and I waited for my money and had to text them. This month she seen me park to begin and texted me not to bother and I was very glad and I won't be doing it again, once was once too often but you can cherry pick when really busy.

I’ve had a look and only see one that show prices. Do you think I’m best to follow the bwca and go mid level?

Try:

https://rowleyswindows.co.uk/window-cleaning-prices-birmingham-solihull/

http://hotwashwindows.co.uk/prices/

https://www.windowcleaningtamworth.co.uk/pricing/

https://pureshinewindowcleaning.co.uk/instant-quote/

Hopefully that will give you something to go on. They may not be exactly your area but might give you an idea.

To be honest I think getting your prices right is one of the hardest part at the beginning. You want work to gain experience but you don't want to under price as you will come to loath those jobs ?
