As the title states, took precautions with my van put radiator in there, brought nano trolley indoors even though non of my 25l barrels have frozen in my storage coal shed which is a bonus, but my 600l Ibc tank stored in my plastic keter shed is frozen solid hope the submersible pump isnt damaged.

Hope you right won’t find out untill it defrosted.

had a couple of 25l drums in the van freeze when I forgot to put my radiator in but I did remember to cover with a duvet so tank and hose wasn’t frozen only the drums.

I haven’t worked this week at all. Checked my car out yesterday and oddly even though the temps have been as low as -4, the two and a half barrels of water in my car boot haven’t frozen. I’m concerned about the booster and heating pump in my outside cabin even though there is a frost heater in there. I’ll probably check it all out over the weekend. Here’s hoping!

Hope all is ok is your tank and ro in th cabin as well have check to see if they are frozen?

Tank and all barrels except one are unfrozen. The one that is frozen was only 1/4 full so it hasn’t damaged the barrel. But I’ve got several spare ones so it’s no big deal there. Just done a visual check of the RO and DI and both appear good but they are directly above the heater. However, both pumps and the trolley are immediately beneath it so I’m hoping the proximity to the heater has done the trick. I have a spare pump for the trolley and a spare Shurflo so should be ok if any of the pumps have gone. My water heater is in the cabin as well and it is also close to the heater so I think I’ll be ok

all sounds good ? just glad there is no damage for you.

Because I’ve got my water usage down during this last year I was saying to my wife at the beginning of last week how I’d gotten away with only one 19kg propane gas bottle this winter and didn’t think I’d need another. Shoulda kept my mouth shut!

Going to have to insulate my keter storage So my Ibc tank don’t freeze again.
I know cold isn't known for rising like heat but if your tank is in contact or almost in contact with ground then more likely to freeze, as it's being affected by the much colder ground temperature.

Mine is sat on top of two hefty fence posts inside a wooden shed so more than 6 inches of the floor

Yes your right mind is on a rubber floor not very thick, might even move the static in rear garden and buy a garden shed and assembled that around thank and insulate that.

My ibc is solid but started to melt now

Van full of drums is not frozen at all

Ro in insulated box inside shed with tube heater in it

Only thing I am worried about is the sub pump

Di froze but seems fine now defrosted

Summer project is to box ibc in with decking wood with insulation in between and squeeze the di in also

Wife moans she can see it against the shed so that will hide it

Yip same I do have a spare sub pump if mine is damaged still waiting for it to work thaw out to see if u/s.
