Hi all, my first post here after taking a wealth of information from this site.

I'm having issues with my system, it's a second hand trailer system that hasn't given trouble before. But I took it all apart so the tanks can go in the van whilst I was repairing the trailer spring and now I've put it all together it's doing something strange.

First off the order is this 3 x 150 lt tanks connected in parrallel > sureflo > 2 x 11lt di vessels > reel with a digital pump controller

Since I've put it all back together when I leave it for about 15 minutes with the tap on the pole switched off but the pump on and reading (de ) when I do open the tap on the pole again it will slowly loose pressure until it stops and reads (PS) on the controller .then I have to remove the hose from the sureflo and disconnect battery to restart, then when reconnected it fires up again and after priming I'm up and running until I stop for more than 15 minutes again.

If I stop for only a few minutes there's no problem.

What's the deal??

Your pump recognises the water has stopped so signals 'de' (dead end) this is fine for short periods.

When you leave the water off for a longer period, the pump senses a problem and signals 'ps' (pressure switch).

It has a build up of back pressure. The moral of the story is to turn off the system via your digital controller if you know it will be off for a while.

This is where a 'one shot' remote comes in handy as it saves you keep walking to the van when a customer starts to chin wag etc
