hi all i was sent hear by all round cleaning he is a mupet only joking lol

any ways he set up his company in window cleaning i had the idear way back in 2003 after my daurghter was born but i dindt like the heights in cleaning /emoticons/ph34r.png.

so after so many years in and out of work i finaly got a skill welding where i was good and was going to go on a coded corse bring in big bucks but becouse of the so called cut backs there wasnt any funding and i lost out.

any ways now i was told to go into window cleaning so im having a glanced at the situation and keeping on a look out for jobs whether i could get into window cleaning and make at least 15k a year.

so what you think i dont have alot of money.

welcome the the forum!

to set up as a trad window cleaner, and to get some decent ladders and equipment you could do it for around £1000.00

It is possible that you can make that, but wont be easy, you need to pick up and do at least 32 jobs a week all at a min of £10 thats £320 a week,

£320.00 x 4 weeks = £1280.00 a month

£1280.00 x 12 months = £15,360.00 a year!

so better get out there and pick up the jobs before someone else does.

Does that £1000 include a van RC. Seems like a lot to set up trad. Cost me between about £200 including ladders & bars for my car for the ladder.

No just the equipment. to get the proper trade ladders (double or triple) and 'A' frame ladders, then there is all the window cleaning tools etc.

A frames start around £120+

proper trade ladders from £300+ (non diy type as they aren't ment to be used)

then there is the ladder mitts, ladder mats etc

was goingt o say you, but i thought i would leave it open to anyone!

nice to have friends isnt it!! lol
Doubt he will hack it for long tho I know what he's like lol .

Wait until people start messing him around and him waiting to be paid he will soon pack it up lol .

Like today for example 1woman says how much do I owe you I said £24 she goes ouch !!!

I don't think it would be that much erm can I pay you later in the week as I have no money on me .

Then another owes me £20 my lists getting bigger and bigger .

not good then! thats why i state on my invoices that i have a late payment charge if not paid within 14 days. i have no debt on my list, apart for the ones that pay on line and takes 3 days to get into the bank.

Welcome to the forum mate

I'm considering a van tbh but don't want to get rid ov me bm .
U will have no choice but to get a van when you get more customers cos u will be that busy ?

Still seems a lot tho. To me ladders are ladders & there built for one thing & that's to climb up lol but I see where your coming from.

Lol true but say if u had 300 customers /emoticons/tongue.png wou would think to yourself... i need a bigger vehicle
Why H. Don't matter if you got a million customers you still can only use 1 squeegee & 1 bucket etc & your still only gonna do the same amount of custies to do a week. As you get more a van ain't gonna make you do more or having 6 squeegees or 3 buckets ain't gonna make you do more. You still carry the same stuff. I used my escort estate for 3 half years & my custie bass grew but didn't need any xtra stuff.

Yer I know what you mean. But the dig ladders are not built for every day use only now and again. Plus if you went to work on some building sites and wanted to use them they would have to have the right bs safety number on it.
