Ladder Standoff

I've recently seen a video whereby there is a standoff with wheels that's attached to the ladder to either act as a standoff or then able to go on to the roof - the width of the "cage" is adjustable and locked in place with 2 kind of pins

Anybody know what these are called etc thanks

In answer to your question no sorry but if you end up buying a stand off from screw fix check before you leave it's not the type that has the hooks fixed with rivits, if so don't use it they snap!! Ask for the older one they stock with bolts if they not got them first job drill out digits and buy some bolts. I got to stand offs and if I hadn't done my daily checks may of had a fall today! Just a heads up bud. GF

On the video I saw the stand off cage attaches to the ladder rungs by simply overlapping them

It's called a microlite standoff, a few of us use them and they are fantastic, def invest in one if you can

There a loads of different types about so not sure what vid you are on about but the one I use is a microlite stand-off like this http://www.ladderstore.com/microlite-stand-off.html

Maybe best shop around for the best price for a new one or look on ebay for a good used one instead.
