Looking at Peugeot Experts and Citroen Dispatches (SWB) and they all look like they're diesels. Is this a problem with the price increase?

As far as diesel is concerned, what's right today may well not be right tomorrow. Gordon Brown encouraged us to drive diesels whereas today we are told that this isn't the way it should have been done. Its all about finding a hook to hang the next excuse for a taxation justification. No matter what you as Joe Soap do right it will always be wrong later on.

Virtually every van on the road is diesel powered, so its going to have to have a major shift in attitude for that to gradually change. In my motor trade days a petrol van was worth zip. Most bought them to convert to LPG and tbh that wasn't a huge success.

A 110hp petrol engined van did not pull as well as a 90hp diesel engine in the same van. Diesels are all about torque where petrol engines need revs to generate brake horse power.

The last generation diesels are economical to run and have great performance - that's going to be a hard act to follow for petrol engines.
