Personal Plea Please

Abusing my right as admin now but hey for a very good cause.

As some of you may know my son is Autistic and over the last year has had a terrible time.

He has become very severe resulting in several very long stays in hospital due to his extreme self harm.

He as a result has lost half of his tongue and some of his bottom lip. Without being too groosum it looks like someone has kicked him around the floor! Sadly I live in Cornwall and the services down here are ****! All specialist have not got a clue and we now have to send him to Birmingham to and impatient unit for three months, he is only 12! me, my wife (his mum) and his dad have set up a Facebook group as we are going to be petitioning to get more funding in Cornwall for such a unit so no other family has to go through what we have. Would be really great if you could all join and share it with your friends or as many people as you possibly can.

Bloody heck Gav, that made me near cry at the thought of that. My heart goes out to you and your wife pal. My sister used to volunteer in the only specialists autism unit in our area which is now shut down and demolished, she has told me loads of stories about dealing with autistic kids and how challenging it can be.

I don't have a facebook page myself, but i'll get my sister, mum and anyone else I know to join.

I think its great if we can do a little good as a community, so no I don't think it's abusing any privileges, just using them for something important.
