I went to get a hair cut and the main man has known me for life... he always talks to me about my business etc /emoticons/smile.png He goes to me do u do conservatory cleaning i said yeah i specialise in that... He goes his roof is very dirty all green. I said to him...

For your house with conservatory your looking at between £12.00 - £15.00

But with the roof on top your looking at an extra.

Then i said to him the roof will not need cleaning every month tough.. just once every 4/6 months mate. he said yeah i see.... He goes to me just do it for me i dont care what u charge me i trust u ... i go to him i got to see it first though /emoticons/smile.png Cos ive done the same before and regretted it..

I said to him i dont want to rip u off or rip myself off and just want to be fair /emoticons/smile.png He totally understood and was happy /emoticons/smile.png

He said to me he doesnt like strangers working on his house or anything he goes i know all tradesmen who come in here for a haircut i always get them to do my work for me... i never look in yellow pages

Lol

So im goign to go round his house and quote him..

Im thinking of charging him £15.00 for normal house /emoticons/smile.png or maybe £12.00 if theirs not many windows.

Also for the roof.... im thinking of charging an extra £10.00 /emoticons/smile.png

what do you all think /emoticons/smile.png

And im up north remember /emoticons/smile.png

A conservatory house normally down here is average 12 pound /emoticons/smile.png

I myself charge between £30 to £40 for cleaning the roof.

Spray virosol on the roof then clean down with water(you can use pure water too but I think its a waste)

Yep, sounds ok for the house. But nothing less than £20 for the roof. It's a specialist clean and always takes longer than you think. Use Virosol or you'll be there all day.

these can take a lot longer than you think harun so make sure your covered .if theres an outside tap i always connect to it as i wouldnt waste pure when using a chemical

Conservatory work round here goes in @ £25 a time. We dont do it but i know plenty that make a killing doing them all day! 10 a day and you're /emoticons/biggrin.png

I priced his house up £20.00 including his conservatory /emoticons/smile.png (without the roof)

I added an extra £10.00 for his conny roof - i should of done it for 20 quid ! but its still a good price because i know hes goign to be a good regular customer

So £30.00 in total... after that im goign to do his windows etc for £20.00 per month /emoticons/smile.png

It should take me half an hour to do all his normal windows

and 60-90 minutes to clean the conservatory /emoticons/smile.png

Its like £18.00 for the full conservatory but really i t should be £25.00 ! /emoticons/mellow.png but nevermind next time i will be with it /emoticons/tongue.png

But from now on am goign to charge £25.00 for conservatories /emoticons/smile.png

Still worth it for me /emoticons/smile.png

extra 20 quid per month /emoticons/smile.png

On any job i always think, at the end of the day cash is cash..... what is my time worth....

I try as much as possible to keep all pricing the same or you will end up not liking certain jobs becuase they dont earn as much....

At times you will have to prioritise and i always make sure i look after the customers who are worth the most to me.... so as such I dont fluctuate pricing as really..... they should all be important,

But you do right to be getting the work in. Good on ya pal!!

Am pretty happ with the price /emoticons/smile.png £20.00 a month and it will take me less about 1 hour 2 do /emoticons/smile.png after the first clean

So its not too bad /emoticons/tongue.png

And the guy is a good decent bloke aswell so its all good /emoticons/smile.png

Forgot to say... hes got another house around the corner that he wants me to do /emoticons/smile.png so not bad havent priced it up or anything yet /emoticons/tongue.png

Business is business mate. My lowest paying customer is the first customer i ever took on, Had them over 4 yrs so i dont mind they pay less. And i vow I will never ever put thier price up as they were what gave me the buzz to get going. If we're still doing it in 20yrs the price will be the same.

They have no idea how much I owe to them for giving me the first boost I needed.

I still even go and do the job every sinlge friday,so been to their house like over 200 times! In the last yr ive not had a day off so ive never missed a clean. They love it and it keeps my head in check. I always say to myself....if i ever cut cormers on this job.....i'll pack it in cus I know i've had enough.....

Getting a hoilday booked for 2013 though.... think by the time ive done over 700days on the bounce i'll be ready for a few bevvies!

Cheers dude.... i just stay positive and strive for big things.....

Since i set up ive got bigger than loads of other companies around me (and we are still only small fry!!) but because so many cleaning companies just take the ****.

What's the point? Do it right and keep your customers.

Our retention rate is massive. Ive got loads of customer who ive gone to visit and they've said "we've had 10 cleaning companies in the last yr and you'll be no different" I say to them, give me a chance and i'll sort it. We do and then they say.... i cant believe you actually do what you say.

The point is we dont do anything over the top. We just do what we're there to do. Customers are used to being let down.... so as soon as you do things right they're like..... bloody hell, a company that actually does things! Come Christmas its happy days.... bottles of Champers and the lot. Dont expect it like but nice to be thought of /emoticons/biggrin.png

Good stuff /emoticons/smile.png on xmas im going to buy xmas csrds and give 1 to every customer its good and pays off

last xmas i was working on a round for someone else and we took about 300 in tips between us in the 2 week run up to xmas, but thats on a 400 customer-base round in essex, we even got some wine and some champagne!

I have been giving £20 tips and their house is only £12! Also get tenners, £5s, few quids, chocolates sweets cigs wine.. I do pretty well in tips, and I sometimes put some people off so they are all in 2-3 weeks of Xmas.. Any earlier and people sometimes forget the tips lol

i got 2 customers at the moment who give me tips one customer gives me a pound extra all the time... and the other customers gives me 1.50 extra ( 8.50 job but doesnt want my change

lol

yh its a good idea to bunch up your custies at xmas, especially the good payers, its also the only time of the year i really go collecting, strange that?lol
