I don't have a RO system so am not that clued up on them but I think if you did need a pump for the RO you actually get a Booster pump which look like are 24v.
Have you considered producing the pure water at home into an IBC tank then transferring to your van?

I would like to produce a pure water at home thats good idea my only problem: I live in 1 bed flat :( with my other half and 1yeay boy :) no garage no garden only small patio for bins I will go 4 that next year after moving, so my only option is to produce pure water from tap to tank in my van :)
all ro systems on ebay seems to have 1 or 2 pumps 12v 100psi I could use 240V booster pump at home insted tap pressure...
also it is 40/40 inch low pressure membrane best working at 60psi
ro systems which I am preparing to DIY
