Hi all..

Please can anybody recommend some good quality gloves to be used with wfp that will keep my hands warm and dry during the approaching cold winter..!?

I Always use the mechanics gloves, with a thin layer of rubber on the palms and fingers . Not warm but gives a good grip.

I wear a pair of surgical gloves with a pair of Showas on top if it's really cold. I always wear surgical gloves this time of year as they keep your hands clean. Showa 377 glowes 1pair size 8 | eBay

I use latex gloves , might seem too thin but there keep my hands warm and dry .

If any split just replace from the box .

Fantastic stuff. Dont get wet and keeps your hands warm all day. Using them on the pole and on my gutter vac even cleaned gutters by hand with them once and they were still dry and comfy. Washing them almost every second day in a washing machine and they are fine. I do recommend.

I haven't needed mine since I've been using hot water in winter. I'm using PU hose now and it has a thinner wall than reinforced hose so I really feel the warmth coming through the pole. I used to use Sealskinz though and I have also used the Aldi ones mentioned earlier

I can second these - fantastic gloves. only about a fiver from screwfix as well.

I wear exactly the same, with surgical gloves, warm hands all day

I've also been using Skytec Argon (3rd winter with them), good mix of breath ability and warmth. I've tried the Argon Extra (totally waterproof, but hold the sweat). Use Showa 460's as recommended by someone on here, for gutter and fascia and really cold days.

Aldi gloves are **** if you use cloths to wipe down sills as they get damp in no time and hands end up freezing , I would recommend Skytec gloves as well I have bought some Joka hold gloves but I haven't worn them yet but they are really bulky .

Skytec gloves are really good, was recommended on here by another member sorry bad memory cant remember who it was, took a couple of minutes to adjust to thickness of the glove highly recommended.

They are the ones gloves which get wet externally are pointless IMHO my hands end up freezing in no time if I was to wear a non waterproof outer glove .
