thanks luc, i need a quick alternative as im back on it tomorrow and wont be able to get hold of one of those ..

I'm afraid the only suggestion I have is to temporarily abandon the clean until you get something to get this baked on stuff off. I would inform them of the issue and that you will be back on Monday/Tuesday next week.

We use an Unger scraper and an Unger Teleplus pole to solve this problem.

This looks good

Pole

add on extensions to make it the right length.

and

We hardly ever use extension 5

The other alternative is use a ladder and an ordinary scraper.

the only thing is the facility manager likes the health and safety aspect of a reach and wash and wouldnt be keen on ladders being used

Fair comment. Then you are going to have to postpone the clean until you get a solution.

We have a school building we do once a year and we have endless bird strikes that are baked on. Even removing some of this with a scraper is a challenge.

We once tried a presoak with UBIK applied from a backpack but this didn't help our situation. Using a scraper on a bendy Teleplus pole on third story windows with a 5th extension can be fun.

Or use warm/hot pure water using a chepo 8 lpm lpg gas water heater hooked up after the wfp pump and before the hose reel. Depending what brush you are using it should shift it. If not as sugested already stick a pad on yer pole to be able to give it a bit of a scrub after soaking it in hot/warm water which normally work well on very stubbon ****.

If the windows are really filthy then use some sort of chem boost aswell to add some extra bite to make cleaning the glass easier.

when scrapping with extendable pole the scrapper just seems to bouce of the glass and make a horrible noice
This is really not a good sign bud.

If you saw a Liverpool fan walk into a pub in Manchester on matchday screaming 'You'll never walk alone' at the top of his lungs then that would also not be a good sign.......but the scraper making that horrible noise is a worse sign.

Hope you got insurance lol

I only ever use a scraper if it's in my hand and I can see exactly what I'm doing and can hold it exactly flat on the glass

Guess trad wins of wfp on this one

u could pore fairy liquid on a m op an trad pole the glass lkeave it to soak wile u do the frest that should soften it up then wfp it

I can't see any reason why not to try it apart from the smell or it's so say self cleaning glass.

How are you going to apply it to the bird poop?

I can't believe we're all giving these suggestions & the most logical one is ladders. It's easy. It's not high. It's not slippery. No pedestrians or cars. No brainer really to be honest.
