Black Hands

My hands have started to go black off my slx. Is there anything you can treat the pole with to sort of seal it? Anyone know?

No you can't mate that's what happens when carbon fibre starts to wear. Wear gloves if you're bothered

That's not wear, it's just how they are, lessens a bit with age but will always do that, either wear gloves (girly) or live with it (manly)/. /emoticons/biggrin.png

You get that from ladders too. Use babyoil in your hands or keep your hands in warm water for a while

Thing that bothers me is when I hold my hand out for pay, they r disgusting.

Get those scubbers with bristles on them, good with soap and jobs a gud'un.

It happens with Ladders too btw lol nothing much you can do, only wear gloves if its freezing cold...

Maybe a weak pva glue and water mix might do it. It works on sealing other rough surfaces...??? You'll need the mix to be like water, but opaque white from the glue.

Just had a look at the paperwork I got with the pole. And gardiners sell a dry film Ptfe spray for them.
