Ever since I've had it, it is always difficult to extend. It happens on every section. The clamps are not too tight, and it has clear pole hose in it. It is also the same when no hose is in it.

    Suggestions please.

This is a good question - the main thing that comes to mind is jamming joint-stop tape. However it should not be happening from new. Could you email me on alex@agardiner.co.uk with the date of purchase, the name it was bought under and if possible the invoice number. I can then have a look at this for you.

Will do Alex. I have some of your stop tape, shall I have a go at re-taping it. I barely use it tbh, as it's a ball ache to use. My SLX-22 on the other hand is a dream to use.

It may be worth having a go on just one section to see if this improves it.

    How old is the pole?

I bought it on 19/07/2013. I'm struggling to find the invoice - just had a look in my folder and no sign of it, I found the purchase date from PayPal.

So it is pretty new then. Could you have a try removing the joint stop tape from one section that is currently stiff and see if the section slides well without the tape. If it does then apply new joint stop tape, but not quite as much as you took off. Let me know if this makes a difference.

If not we can always have the pole back to look at carefully to see what the issue is.

It don't feel like grit tench, just resistance.
