it doesnt matter how many examples of people falling from ladders or roofs you find, it doesnt mean being on ladders or roofs is dangerous!

None of these guys fell off the roof! Try reading them to find out what they are on about before you comment

Oh right should of quoted who u was talking to. As it didn't have a quote on it I thought u was talking to me, sorry mate.

I saw two blokes yesterday standing on a roof repointing the chimney. No safety harness nothing. It goes on everywhere. The more people that get nicked the better IMO.

hear hear

The more people that get nicked in the end they will ban ladders. That puts a lot of people out of work. We ain't all got 2 or 3 grand to set up wfp.

they wont ban them, they will just make sure your trained to use them and make sure you use the correct safety when up on the roofs etc. thats all. dont forget in some risk assesments ladders are the safest thing to use to keep the risk to a minimum!!!

LOL, people on this forum make me die! just because someone is on a roof, does not mean they need safety harnesses, fall arrest kits or anything else in order to work safely, many, many roofs are very safe to be on, provided you know what your doing and you assess the risks accordingly, i stripped an entire roof off recently, replaced all the membrane, replaced all the battons and replaced the tiles all from the roof and a small scaffold tower, was it dangerous? no, the roof had a low angled pitch, strong stonewald tiles and i was working within h&s guidelines, i was as safe as can be.

some people on here, (daley + vince green) need to stop with the working at height h&s bull they come out with, for the last time.....

....LADDERS ARE NOT DANGEROUS, YOUR ALLOWED TO WORK ON ROOFS, GET OVER YOURSELF!

that is all
