Sealer application

just finished doing a mono block drive today and the custy asked if i could seal it to for her, i said thats fine will pick up some tomorrow and get it put on at the weekend. just wondering whats the best way to apply it seen rollers, brushes and sprayers?

I did one recently and used a roller and a shed brush. Use the roller on a pole to put it on, and use the brush to sort the bits the roller can't reach, and sort out any pooled areas. But more importantly then any of that....make sure you barricade off the drive as I had a numpty delivery driver use my beautifully sealed driveway as a turning area.

Sparying sealer tends to drift onto all sorts of things so I tend to use a roller & brush.

Just make sure the area is clean and dry before you start and there is no forcast of rain.

This is what I use that I cost in on each job as I bin everything after use.

Also a painters pole I have already

Regarding resanding the joints on block pavers you only need to fill in the joint not the bevel edges around the blocks and any left over sand removed.

A customer recently resanded and sealed his own drive after I cleaned it then called me back out to sort it out as his wife went mental. The old boy left some joints overfilled that looked terrible so I had to try to scrape it all out after he sealed it.

thanks for the replys got myself a decorators pole and roller and brush to apply the sealer good idea about the barricade! priced some everbuid path and seal today 5l £14.40 is that about right? gonna need about 6-8 drums.

I personally say to customers if they want it sealing I happy to put it down for them if they buy it themselves. That way you have no comeback if the sealer is **** (dosen't last long) also doesn't tie up any of your cash flow either.

Works for me /emoticons/wink.png
