My tap water has a ppm of 390 what is the best way to get pure water I have no where to run waste water from a ro to as planing to put a tank in my van.

at that high ppm then the better way would be RO, just DI would work out expensive.

Hi all thanks for the replys I use around 400ltrs of pure water a day I am using 2 di vessels straight from the tap.

Resin last about 2 weeks.

I use 1x 25ltr di a d then a 11 ltr one

Also trying with collecting the rain water but only have 2 x 200ltr Tanks.

If you got £200 to spare then it's worth getting a 1000L ibc tank off eBay & another 25L DI vessel (will pay itself off in couple months with saved resin costs) then put the 11L one in your van(?) as a polisher for when you use the rainwater.

if it is costing you £40 a week it sounds to me like it is worth renting a garage and getting a ro set going

yer RO is the best and cheapest, one bag of resin lasted me 1 year, our water is 400-450ppm

Thanks guys as its raining today I'm going to buy a ro unit and set it up in my shed.

Does anyone know any shops in kent (Dartford) that I can walk in and buy resin.

I get it on line normally but I want to play and build a new set up today!!!
