iv almost no sense of smell so it doesnt bother me but my youngster workers reckon my van absolutely reeks inside .

im thinking that, over time, dirty water has been spilt in the back and has settled in crevices ,then dried and humming properly ,like rotten eggs

any of you guys managed to rid your car or van of a stink? if so let me in on how you did it

Spray febreeze everywhere really thickly..I did a whole bottle in my car before..seems to kill it all off as it dries..gotta almost soak everything

Ever tried using febreeze on a carpet after one of the kids has puked on it?

You need to Steam Clean the interior to kill the bacteria....it's this bacteria which is giving-off the smell.

Dampness is a breeding ground for bacteria to grow and keep growing.

All these nice smelling spray-on products only mask the smell, they don't actually kill-off the bacteria.

Isn't baking soda supposed to absorb bad smells? I know when cleaning houses that leaving saucers of baking soda in the worst areas helps. Perhaps a shallow container in the cup holder or somewhere else its not likely to fall over might help alleviate it.

Baking soda doesn't kill the bacteria...it's the bacteria which is the cause of the smell.

If you're going to do it.....do it properly....get rid of the cause.....not try and hide/mask the smell.
