Does this type of trolley really work?

I stumbled across this trolley after encountering a problem I'm trying to get around, and this trolley seemed like it could be a good solution but don't really believe it will produce 6,000 litres of purified water as advertised. Has anyone tried?

From that pic it looks to me like it's just a di tank filled with resin on a stack truck

The amount of pure water it could produce will be dependant on the tap water ppm going into the resin surely before the resin is fooked /emoticons/biggrin.png

As an example use the calculator below

For argument sake i've entered the following just to see how much it would cost for me to run that thing

cost of resin = £80

imput tds = 260

size of di vessel assuming its 25 litres

litres used per month = 6000

Not sure where to find that other type meter but can't be that expensive to buy surely?

Then add a few quid for some hose and couplings...Job done /emoticons/biggrin.png

Mind you I don't fancy humping that di trolley about also in & out of a van without using ramps. And in my case tap tds is about 260ppm so I'm sure a hell not going to pay out around £250 a month in resin just to produce 6000 litres of pure

Company I used to work for we used 1400 ltrs of water a day

It would cost 100s a week in resin - no thanks I'll stick to my ro

You take it on site to the customers house, plug their water supply into one end, and your WFP into the other end. Hey presto, you have a WFP system.

Or, you can get a 2nd hand 11L vessel from eBay (£25 - £30) add a couple of fittings, and have the same effect, but cheaper, and a whole lot lighter to lift

Thanks for sending the link to the Resin Calculator Smurf! I was sure that thing wasn't going to produce 6,000 litres of water from 25 litre sack of resin. Especially when you have hard water at 355ppm, I'm more looking at 1,500 litres of pure water from a 25 litre sack now. Will be looking at other options instead!

you can get 6000 litres from that but must have tap water no more than 100ppm mines 90 and get more than 6000

The price of trolley systems are really dire but the price that Cleaning Spot are charging for that particularly Blue Peter contraption is disgusting!

I bought that exact hand trolley with pneumatic tyres for £15 in lidl last year!

Those kinds of prices put me off a company , I'd never purchase from this kind of outfit!
