80s was all metal for me. Maiden, Metallica, megadeth, suicidal tendencies etc.

For proper 80s can't beat of Howard jones!

 
So much good stuff from the 80s, but just about every song made by The Smiths would be up there. The Coctuea Twins were also pretty special, though they never got in the charts......not that that is an indication of of a good song
