Does cold weather affect pump speed?

Hi all,

I'm new to the wfp van system and have noticed that my pump has been running slower in the cold weather. Is this normal?

Thanks.

the cold does affect things a tad, batteries don't perform aswell when its cold, water whether pure or not as it gets to around 4c expands a bit before it freezes as the temp lowers,so puts a bit more pressure on the pump, its just something else to cope with on a daily basis,do keep the battery charged though

Thanks guys, like I say I'm a bit of a novice on these things so your help and advice is much appreaciated. /emoticons/smile.png

one thing they dont mention when you buy an electric car is....its performance is always in the summer...batteries dont like the cold...

i always plug my trolley in while i fill it anyway....

The viscosity of water changes in the cold.... I.e it gets thicker, so your pump has to work harder to push it through.

Just tweak your flow controll up a notch.
