Squeegee off!

I've never actually tried this out, as I've always found Fairy (and only Fairy) to be perfectly fine with an Ettore blade.

My question is; does anyone use Squeegee Off, and is it worth the money as it seems quite a bit in comparison to Fairy. I'd like to know the noticeable differences if any.

Cheers! :)

Try ecover

I used to use fairy for 20+ years until i found this forum and read about ecover

Add a dash of flash concentrate and it will take any dirt off and squeegees a while lot better than fairy without leaving the fairy film on the glass

Still not tried any of the specialist cleaners myself, and dont think I ever will. They are just too expensive for what they are and I've yet to see anyone say how amazing they are. Two soaps I'm a big fan of are Ecover as dave mentioned, and Lime and lemongrass fairy. The LLG Fairy is now my top choice, and I buy it whenever its on offer now.

I used ecover when I got all eco-friendly a few years back, and found it really lightweight, but as you say, will and extra dash of something may make the difference. I'm not too sure what you mean by Fairy film thou. I'll look out for that tomorrow! I've never noticed it before.

Why Lime & Lemongrass?? Smell??...

I tried them all when they first went to multiple smells years ago, but they got up my nose in the end, so stick to the original.

I found that in sunny weather fairy left a slight film on the glass

Flash concentrate is in asda usually 2 for 2 quid offer

I mix 1 bottle of that to 2 big bottles of ecover in my bucket and then pour back into the bottles and because i add soap direct to the applicator that lasts me weeks

When I added to the bucket it went in a week or so

I change the water whenever it lools slightly grubby now as it is just water and not wastimg soap

Also have a bottle of strong water soap solution handy for grubby first cleans or when really hot and porcupine dries out while up the ladder

The film daves talking about with the green stuff is really evident and one of the biggest reasons I don't use green fairy, I also hate the smell. The lime smells nice and doesnt leave the film, cleans well, has good slick, easy to get hold of, and cheap- everything you need really. I havent got any scientific reasons to why its better though, just trial and error.

I also found fairy was harsher on my hands than ecover/flash

Once put my foot in a bucket with fairy stepping off a stepladder and after a while it started burning my skin

Not done it yet with ecover to compare though

thats strange you saying that davey. How cemicals can effect people in diffrent ways. i still use ecover but not the flash any more i used to put a capfull to about 10lt of water with the ecover the tips of my fingers under the nails used to get that sore blowing on them used to make them hurt.

Keeping with the natural theme of ecover I just use vinegar in it, great combo that really cuts through the $***.

Andy now i use just water in my bucket and add soap to applicator i don't have any issues with my hands as only touching water with my hands

ecover & flash is what I use all the time find this ideal for me

squeegee off used this also great for lifting grease good for cleaning mcdonalds insides

so harsh on your hands drys them out quick

ive never tryed squeegy off bit ive used flash ecover, ecover an vinager, fairy,an a few others but imo my favurt is persil lemon its just perfect

ya all wanna shop at tuffers online for them cheap as chips gloves he sells..well his link sells ....i never take em off ....although they are getting a bit thin now...../emoticons/biggrin.png

and er...wheres the bear hiding not seen him for a bit...is he in hibernation...

I get the lemon flash all purpose cleaner concentrated gel stuff

If using it in a bucket just a quick squirt about a cap full i suppose along with your normal ecover

Makes it turbocharged and most dried on **** that usually needs scraping comes off with a little scrub with my porcupine
