unimpressive/ because i dont believe for a moment they can sustain a full diary of work without huge marketing costs making it uneconomic.

It's interesting to see the cleaning methods that they use in the vid though. Just goes to show that anyone with basic tools can clean a conservatory inside & outside properly. Mind you not all are easy to get at to clean.

I'm thinking depending on the size/style, how bad & awkward the job is having a two man team on the job for a full inside and outside valet you got to be looking at at least £600 for a small one to make it worth their while.

Their marketing strategy seems to be targeting people that want the best and can afford to pay that sort of money out for a quality job.

Book an outside valet and get a free inside valet my arse :D

Don't forget @Tuffers it's that special type of self drying tap water they use from the customers outside tap so they have to dry it afterwards with rags you know for that purfect finish:D

Haven't posted much but thought I had to on this post. A couple of years ago I started doing a few of these valets every week with a friend of mine who has worked for TS for years. I'm actually one of the people in the video above.

They are very expensive but they do have a steady stream of work coming in. Half of them are given out free as part of a blind sales.

I've actually just stopped doing them though as they wanted me to go full time which I wasn't happy to do.

I've been on that them for a while now to look into wfp for some of the more awkward jobs but they were adamant that they didn't want to look like a bunch of window cleaners

Depends on the job really. Some would take us all day at first but then we got quicker.

Lately on the smaller ones we'd take maybe 4 hours or so.

I think the pricing started at about 600 for small ones.

They gave prices without going to look at them and based it off of the number of roof panels.

0-8 panels was one price and then extra for each extra panel.

They seemed to think that this was the best way of pricing things up but it was very hit and miss.

Always found it frustrating turning up to a massive 8 panel conservatory and getting the same money as I would have for a tiny lean to.

£600 for a small conny? How do they get the work? My customers would be grudge £200 let alone £600!

They sound like right numpties to me...God forbid you turned up looking like a window cleaner bearing in mind most of the area of a conservatory is made of glass

The bloke I work with is a subcontractor so he gets paid a certain amount for each size. We've then worked out a percentage for me which ranges from £90 to £150.

Many of the other valeters pay their second man a set rate like £75 a day which I'm surprised they work for.

Its very hot and cold, sometime I'd earn 150 by 1 o'clock and sometimes a small one will take all day. They expect their workers to be happy with that which I found a bit annoying really.

In regards to how they get their work, they are a top of the range blind/shutters provider and their client base shows that.

If someone is happy to pay 20k for some blinds they can probably afford it. Some people don't even bother checking before paying.

As I mentioned earlier a lot of the cleans are added on to blind sales to sweeten the deal. The promise of a £1000 clean sounds good even though they only have to pay us our share.

Yeah I've been carrying on with my round whilst working for them so I've still got enough to keep me busy. Could do with getting a few more customers so I'll be doing a leaflet drop soon.

At the start it was only one or two days a week so I could get my windows done around that but lately it was 3 or 4 days a week which left me behind.
