Gardiners backpack v3 failed first time!

Well peed off tonight.! !

Brought a Gardiners v3 backpack a few weeks ago then ro unit last week. I set up the ro unit today and was really pleased to see the Tds at zero. I am doing my trickiest most hated windows tomorrow so thought this would be the ideal time to get the backpack up and running. I felt really excited about it so filled the back pack with pure water earlier on...switched the backpack on.....and it wouldnt flaming work!. Very disappointed. I will be ringing Gardiners tomorrow.

Has anyone else experienced this?

When you say won't work have you tried the switch in both positions?

Also no sounds daft but charged up ?

Yes Eviestevie, its definitely fully charged and I have tried the switch in both positions....it gives a slight jolt then conks out

Try the switch in position 1 I fink it is and try turning flow up to full

Just tried that. It gives a slight jolt and then nothing. Tried it in position 2 as well. Disappointing for a brand new piece of kit

make sure marty your pole hose is connected properly to hose coming of backpack

have you charged it up enough eg at least 7hrs

i have had nowt but bother with backpacks in past

Cheers Duncs. It was definitely connected properly. I connected and disconnected it several times.

Yes....definitely fully charged up.

Sorry mate, I sent that before you answered that you had the pole connected with tap open.

When you close the tap and stop the water flow, the pressure switch kicks in and stops the pump.

So make sure when you are testing the backpack that the water can flow out of the pole.
