I have been called to a gutter vac job today to price vacuuming front back and washing down including fascias.

However the downpipe is blocked full of water but it is one that is concreted into the ground.

What is the best way to tackle this?

Thanks

What sort of costing also to unblock this?

difficult one to say and one I havent really come across so far but...

if its a plastic downspout and you cant get it apart you can cut it and put a straight join back in...

or else...out with the sledge and smash up the concrete and replace it afterwards but then you are entering tolish territory as its more a handyman job..

could be a pia job that one..:Dyeh you know what cheapie would do...

Could perhaps vac/pump the water out and then investigate the block and if it's below the pipe/ground level recommend a drainage company or try a chem unblocker but offer no guarantees ?

Use a pressure washer from top down pipe entrance and blast down then get a hose and push down - has always worked for me - if that fails they need dyno rod as drain under neath is blocked
