naff off and escape into the film....love em all...have a top hundred films which is probably nearer a thousand../emoticons/biggrin.png

maybe folks you should name your number one film....now that is hard...but not for me...mine has and always will be....

cant print it....the ...nope cant do it...

okay its loosely based on real life....yeh really loosely based...fairly old and....every song is a winner...

I gave all my clothes to charity....oh....not that dress...oh no they didnt want that..

or due to the power of google...

Captain von Trapp: It's the dress. You'll have to put on another one before you meet the children.

Maria: But I don't have another one. When we entered the abbey our worldly clothes were given to the poor.

Captain von Trapp: What about this one?

Maria: The poor didn't want this one.

I like a good film when I get the chance. Last decent one I watched was The Equalizer (Denzel Washington), well worth a watch if you like a bit of action.

Jaws.Still the best film ever

Never tire of watching it.

Hope they never make a remake.

Films should stay as they are.
While I do agree, I hear they are going to be making Topgun 2. Has potential to be awesome, I love the first one so I hope this doesnt let it down.

this thread reminds me i once bought a dvd of the film "the offence" with sean connery. bought it from amazon. when it arrived i was at work and my kids opened it and then my family got all upset cos they were sure id been arrested for summat and had bought the film to research prior to going to trial.

i later had to buy Jethro box sets for months on end and leave them laying around to redress the balance and prove my innocence !

Ye equalizer is awesome film

Really wanting to watch the new film southpaw

The lad who works with me makes little side earner doin all the latest films so I've seen them all

Chappie is a good film

Trouble is never get go cinema

Every time I go to the cinema, I doze off. Kids elbow me when I start snoring. Seats are too comfy these days.

'The good the bad and the ugly' is probably my favourite film.

Or 'the life of Brian.'

The life of brian is classic. As is the holy grail.

Took my little monkey to see minions a few weeks back, I fell asleep half way through  But then we went to a street circus after and he fell asleep half way through that so we were even /emoticons/wink.png

One of my favourite film's is Point Break, never tire of it!

Transcendence is worth a watch.

Growing up - we didn't have a local cinema. When a video rental van started visiting the village in what I think was 1980, I rented myself a Betamax machine with the money I got from mowing neighbours lawns.

This is reason I still love 80’s movies so much today, I also collect when I see them cheap enough – the old science fiction movies from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s.

Bought point break last week from amazon less than a quid

Son is sick of it now as forced him to watch it a few times..quality film

The old ones are the best

Watched worlds end last night ..that was strange

Maybe he got sick of it cos he has to watch it daily lol. I have loads of empty cases of point break and blow, everytime I lost one of the dvds I would go out and buy another.

The old ones really are the best, I look at new films but my just turned 4 year old even prefers the oldies too, goonies, the mask, jumanji etc all better than todays generic stuff!

Not seen worlds end yet but will have a look. Damn its absolutely pissin' it down outside!!

Life of Brian/Holy Grail are great films!

It's too hard to pick 1 favourite film, maybe per genre I could, but still have to think long and hard!

I agree bump, those films you mentioned, Goonies etc have a certain charm, maybe it's a nostalgia thing.

Stand by me is another one, the Back to the Future trilogy (although more the first one.)

I do enjoy modern films but some of the oldies are hard to beat!

Stand by me is cool
