How do I waterproof my van?

I have a vauxhall combo van, on the floor is a built in sponge mat. I lifted it today to give it all a good clean. Now I have to waterproof the van before fitting my system. I was just wondering what you guys use to waterproof it? Apparently a lot of you use a spray paint from Screwfix, do any of you know what paint this is? or have any other suggestions?

Cheers for your help,

Matt

I dont know any that use Spray paint Matt, I used stuff called Protecta Kote, (cheapest on ebay) I used a radiator roller to apply.
Screwfix have a similar cheaper product but I dont know what it's called
Hahaha, Many Thanks, I'll look on eBay now! Cheers

I used bitumen from screw fix and its scraping off the floor already, it's had 4 coats and not stuck, have I done a boo boo or has anyone else found that?

@peter rogers I thought so!

I left them to dry for 20+ hours but it was cold outside, I still have loads left should I scrap off and have another go or should I paint over top?
