  • Sounds like you have grease from somewhere..virosol on your brush to degrease it i reckon (unless it's a self cleaning conservatory as then it will always look **** anyway due to the weird useless coating)

I thought this was from trad being done in the direct sunlight as some chems (in washing up liquid) can react and leave a permanent rainbow effect?

Chemicals in washing up liquid don't react in sunlight

If you're getting smears tradding in sunlight then you are either not blading it off quick enough or you need to dilute it more

Any smears from tradding in the sun can be washed off by going over it again

Nothing permanent

2nd clean she never mentioned it even on first clean and other one was a brand new customer before id even done it?

You checked your brush for grease??

May be worth washing your brush in soapy water and rinsing it well before using it next

We have an upper opener on the ground floor that does this. Its only on the upper opener and not on the window below. We have done the windows wfp for years. We have to blade that window off as it still streaks after all these years. Its only that window that's affected, none of the others. So brush contamination isn't the cause.

The window above is a bedroom window and there isn't a problem with that. There doesn't appear to be an contamination coming through the walls. (Its an old house with a single solid wall construction - ie. no cavity.)

The lady who lives there swears she hasn't used anything oily on or near the window, so we haven't a clue what's causing this.

I was hoping someone else had a solution when this post appeared, but it seems the op is just going to have to 'live with it' like we do.
