This may sound strange but im actually looking forward to get back out there and getting more cash in.

Get all my Xmas present money back, HHAAAHAAA.

wITH THE MONTHLY WORK as they all do now theres the ustomers who got done the end of Nov. These will be ready to be done, Might get some done next week, tues day on.

I always say im going to take a couple of weeks out, but restlesness sets in. Telly rap, even with a dodgy now tv box.

If i done all ladder work i would not want to go back, But WFP makes it more easy on life.

Jan / Feb get very bitter in general, these 2 months are when the bad weather comes in

A bit pessimistic that in my opinion.

We haven't had a bad winter for years and this one has been a doddle so far.

As for being bored already, walks, fishing, golf, time with family, pub, cycling, d.i.y etc etc, more to life than work. I personally am not going to let any form of work enter my head for the next week, if I come on here it will be for the banter.

I think its good to erase work out of your head for a week or so, makes you eager and fresh when you go back. Each to their own etc etc

There is only so much sitting around drinking i can do before i get bored..more than half hour in front of the telly and i am climbing the walls

I know what you mean!

Ended up doing some paperwork early yesterday (I was up at 5am) replaced some fencing trellis in the garden, fixed a curtain pole in the front sitting room....

I was looking for things to do in the end...

I agree totally. That's why my wife and I never, ever watch dramas, soaps or any rubbish like that.

We join our neighbours and friends over our local, we get on a train into London, we go over our favourite indian etc. We never get bored. If having a couple of days off and that makes people bored that they want to get back to work, they are saying (I.m.o) that there's nothing better in their lives that they fill their time up than work. I like my job, but jeez, got to enjoy life more than that surely. But different strokes for different folks I guess. Happy holidays /emoticons/smile.png

I know what you mean, I love me time, but the only time I get peace is in work! Joys of young kids I suppose, it great seeing them having fun but Ive never been one for lazing about, as for socialising I don't drink, which may be my problem:rolleyes:

I live on my own and have no family.

All my friends have kids so I leave them to it over crimbo. Will catch up with them on a weekends soon enough in the new year when all the hype calms down.

Back to work tomorrow.

I know what you mean ! Im back on the Streets tomorrow, with a full tank and an angry face towards that dirty glass !/emoticons/wink.png
I will be thinking of you whilst on my flight to Tenerife /emoticons/biggrin.png

The main reason is new customers in the new builds around my area, i picked up 5 while out collecting on Thurs. all just moved in. ill get them done to establish them into my rounds, before they decide to go with someone else,

as i meant to say if working it will be only for a couple of hours. out at 10, back ny 12ish. not full days. i do enjoy being at home. im always thinking there is something i should be doing, ill settle down now and watch Boro beat Burnley

For those with family and kids I don't know how you can not want as muchtime as possible.

My daughter is a grown woman now and this Christmas she was with her moms family anyhow.

Here it's me the Mrs and the dog all the other family is overseas so Christmas eve off, Christmas day and the wife likes hitting the sales today so that's all done.

Got three jobs booked up for this week that will cover the plane tickets for us to go home and spend next Christmas with those important to us.

I do concur time off is important but for some it's a matter of which time off.

I'm not in the slightest bit bothered about time off this time of year but as I say for those with families and youngsters cherish it whilst it's still there.

I agree, my oldest is down at Brighton since Saturday with his girlfriend & looking at Sussex university.

The next one down in age (19) loves gaming, YouTube etc so pretty much looks after himself so it's just me & the wife.

Popped out for a bit today & it was heaving.... not my idea of fun. No windows for me this week, just a couple of easy office cleans.

Meeting up with friends for lunch tomorrow, it is nice for a slower paced week...

Whatever you guys have planned, I hope it's a good one [emoji106]

I'm going back tomorrow ( tues) only because I have a couple of blocks of flats that are due , they have to be done before the end of Dec ( monthly contract ) it's given a fine day tomorrow , this time of year you gotta to take advantage of the weather .

Can't understand the guys that say they get bored, I've never been bored in my life !

I've never had enough time in the day to fit everything in, always something to be done !

All the best for the new year guys .

Glenn .

For me it's not so much bored as restless

I am not the sort who can doss all day

Running out of tools to modify too so can't even do that

Although i have an idea for a trad tool i am working on which may or may not work but is giving me something to do

Had great few days with the family.

Now I seem to have picked up the flu or a cold or something lol so feel like **** so just as well I'm off this week as I wouldn't fancy working anyway.

Got a few jobs and d.I. y tasks lined up and a days fishing on weds.

Dont have time to get bored there's always something to do

I'm also doing a bit of pike fishing on Wednesday afternoon @adamangler

Got the sea fly rod and fox lure rod out earlier and gave them a clean and lube where needed

Can't wait as I've not been for months with working and usually go every week or so as there are some good stretches of the river lea here

I like the sound of the pike session Davy,I've been giving the grayling some stick on the river Ribble , I've had grayling to 3lb , also 3 salmon this season, in the summer its bass on the lures especially surface stuff, can't beat seeing the bass following and striking the lure , usually have a few weeks in Swanage through the summer that's the place for the bass , other end of the country for me but worth the journey .

Hope you hook a big girl ( pike that is ) LOL

Cheers mate .

I agree..nothing like watching a pike smashing into a popper or fly on the surface..very violent takes compared to hooking them at any depth

I always have some floating fake dog biscuits with me in case i see the carp that patrol that stretch as occasionally i can get one of them off the top as a bonus

All hard fights on the fly rod but more fun than a coarse rod

I don't sit still when fishing i go stalking..my favourite place is a 3 mile stretch of the lea which has a stream that spurs off at 1 point so you can walk down the bank between and fish both at the same time and i will cover all that distance and back again hunting the pike
