Fitting Hose Onto A Barb Without Hot Water

my pole hose split today just next to the barb so after cutting it off & realising i couldn't get the new hose end back on i sat in the van & heated the hose end up with the *** lighter, it took a bit of fiddling but worked fine lol. i use gardiners soft hose which they dont sell anymore so i dont know if this would work on stiffer hose

Good idea and for the people like me who dont smoke stick on the van engine

yeh it was the van lighter i used cos i don't smoke. doh it never occured to me to use an ordinary lighter, but that would be much easier , might get 1 to just stick in the tool box

Stick it in ya header tank lol .

go to the local cafe, at least that way you can have a tea while fixing it!!!!
