Hello everyone

I'm due to take over 50 percent of my current boss's round in July this year and as I'll be working strictly on my own I have been wondering what everyone uses to foot their ladders on sloping roof's, when's its wet/frosty etc? Any help/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Dig it into the grass where possible or bring it back to rest against something like a car tyre or wall etc. Most times you will find something

Grab a set of these there not to big and bulky

If it's just to get over a small porch. Put you ladders against the porch. Normal angle. Then use a small trad extension to reach it. While on the ladder. Sounds a bit precarious. But if your only 10ft up, it's better and safer than racking ladders at dodgy angles in wet weather to get at it.

A 25ft trad pole will go over most without having to stand on the ladder.

Make sure the porch is sound though

That is how i fell when a wooden porch was rotten and fractured my cocyx
