Cleaning water containers

Hi, there's a guy local to me giving me 20 litre containers for my trolley. They've previously had chlorine in them for swimming pools. What's best to clean them out with ?

Tap water then pure

I keep my old hypo ones and just rinse out 2 or 3 times with garden tap by filling completely then emptying

Then i will put a couple litres of pure in it and shake about with the lid on

Empty and good to go

Went to the local car wash, 10 containers for £5.. bargain!! Would of got another ten but couldn't fit any more in the boot!

I took a bit too many. The guy gave me 23. Got enough to last a lifetime. Only 20 litres but their stackable and can easily sit two on the trolley.
