Strange tds reading

Morning guys

I thought I'd try and extend the life of my resin by using spent resin as a pre buffer to my tank

I have 2 10" filters filled with resin and the strange thing is that my tap water is 41 this morning but if I test the water coming from the filters its 76!!!!!!!!! How on earth can that be possible? The resin was only at 2 when it was removed from my di and put in the 2 filters!!

If you are living in a soft water area with tap water tds as 41 ppm then assuming you have a RO that should do the job without messing on 10 inch resin chambers

We are on a water meter which scares me with RO my main resin tank on the van is a 4.6ltr one
